'The first ford demands respect amongst car-mounted ford hunters. Marginally deeper than it looks (9") with a loose pebble base. The useful calibration starts at around 3 feet where most would throw in the towel! There is a steep short exit onto the main street which means a stop with the back wheels and exhaust submerged could be on the cards! the second is much shallower with a concrete base.'

'Road is a green lane and probable 4x4 only if at all wet. Could be difficult to turn an ordinary car after the ford but you could back up I suppose. Nothing anywhere to say it's not a public road though it becomes a field track just after the ford (marked as a bridleway). As you can see from the pic it has a footbridge as well. Gets up to about 12" deep after rain.…'
