| Lees (x3!) SD948037 (2*) Suitable for All SD967052 (1*) Off-Roaders Only! SD950045 Image Wanted! (17/07/2002)
The first is a simple and shallow affair with a smooth rocky bottom. Although the road deteriorates somewhat on the Lees side of the ford, it is all quite driveable.
Image 2 sent in by Mark Limbert & John Lomas (06/11/2004) shows that the second ford is now 'not useable, Washout drop at Tarmac side about 12” to 18” and the bridle route on the other side has also been washed down towards the stream. Some quite large stones, probably part of the original sloping approach, are now into the stream.'
There is another shallow cobble-based ford in Lees in the middle of Brook Lane Andrew Taylor Send your picture in!
