An online guide to every UK ford, watersplash and tidal road
A county by county guide of splash-down river and low water crossings throughout the UK. Please take particular care when crossing all fords and floodwater (some tips and advice are available here). wetroads is simply a record of UK fords at the turn of the millenium and the inclusion of a ford in this guide does not guarantee that the ford is a public right of way.
If you enjoy taking part in adventurous driving activities like driving off-road, or racing, it's very important you make sure you are covered by your car insurance policy - you may be required to purchase additional cover for more extreme activities. This website provides more information on insurance in the UK. Read our guidelines for crossing fords and make sure your vehicle is well maintained. Should the worst happen, Accidents Direct personal injury solicitors are on hand to help.
